2. The Pizza Shop

The Pizza Shop has some of the best pizza around, and it’s usually hard to find good pizza in Costa Rica. The Pizza Shop’s specialty is New York-style pizza, and it doesn’t disappoint. 

Another thing the Pizza Shop does that a lot of places in Costa Rica don’t provide is delivery. You can order a pizza and have it brought to the doorstep of your Airbnb or hotel room.

4. Pachi’s Pan

If you’re looking for a quick breakfast or snack then you should go to Pachi’s Pan. Even if you’re on the hunt for a bakery while visiting Jaco this is a must-visit location.

Pachi’s Pan is one of the oldest bakeries in Jaco. They serve up sandwiches and sweets, but you can skip on the sandwiches since they aren’t anything to write home about.

Their house-made sweets are what the locals and travelers know them for. They offer their baked goods and cheap prices that will leave you wanting more. You may even visit them more than once on your trip to satisfy your cravings for their pastries. 

5. El Barco

El Barco is somewhere you should visit if you have a sweet tooth or you’re looking for dessert. El Barco has a variety of jello flavors along with some authentic Costa Rica desserts.

6. Chinita Pacifica

Chinita Pacifica is a hole-in-the-wall eatery that won’t disappoint anyone that walks through its doors. There is only one chef that works here and will provide you with an unforgettable experience.

The chef only allows two things on the menu a day. Her selections depend on the ingredients she purchases that day and this means you will always have a fresh meal.

7. Kaya Grill

Kaya Grill is an Argentinian eatery that makes all their bread and sauces in-house. They serve up some authentic and mouth-watering Argentinan food at a fair price. It’s a great place to have dinner and a glass of wine.  

8. Soda Jaco Rustico

Soda Jaco Rustico serves up authentic and traditional Costa Rican food. Locals and travelers know this restaurant to be one of the best in the area. 

Soda Jaco Rustico provides travelers and locals with cheaply priced meals and authentic flavor. This eatery is a buffet type place and will provide you with different options every day. It’s also an ideal spot for seafood lovers and vegetarians alike. 

9. Soda Garabito

This is another eatery that provides authentic and local Costa Rican food. This is a great spot to go for a quick and cheap breakfast.

It’s good to point out that Soda Garabito is a cash-only place. This is also a buffet-style place but it’s smaller than Soda Jaco Rustico.  

10. Isaga Bar and Restaurant

The Isaga Bar and Restaurant is a great spot to hit to experience authentic Costa Rica nightlife. This is a local place in Jaco and you will meet regulars as well as tourists while having a nice cold drink.

This spot serves typical bar food that you can find at any bar in the area. They have great prices on drinks that won’t break the bank. 

11. Backyard Bar

The Backyard Bar is located south of Jaco on Playa Hermosa. Playa Hermosa is known as one of Costa Rica’s prime surf spots, so you know you will see some interesting characters when visiting this bar.

Backyard Bar is a great place to watch the sunset over the beach and is even decorated in the local flair. Every Saturday the bar has a surf competition that you can watch while you have a cold beer.
